Two people were arrested on drug charges in Cherokee County Thursday.

Kerry Joe Itson, age 34 of Cave Spring Georgia was charged with two counts of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and also with Carrying a Pistol without a Permit.

Itson was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center around 11:00am; he remains behind bars awaiting setting of bond.

Crystal Starzetta Head, age 28, was charged with two counts of the Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance.

She was booked into jail just before 11:00am and released around 2:30 that afternoon after making bond, which had been set at $15,000.
