Two northwest Georgia residents were arrested locally on drug charges overnight.

Crystal Lyn Shelton, age 20 of Menlo, Georgia, was charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs, Violation of the Prohibition Law and Promoting Prison Contraband – and 27 year old Jason Scott Rogers of Summerville was charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – as well as Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Both Shelton and Rogers were booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center around 2:00am (Tuesday) – where they remain awaiting setting of bond.
