According to Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin, a 27 year old Gadsden woman has been charged with Chemical Endangerment of a Child, following a traffic stop that led to a charge of driving under the influence.
Jessica Marie Brown – who is six months pregnant – also tested positive for amphetamines, and admitted to using the drug.
Her bond was set at $10,000 and as a condition of that bond – she’ll be released to Aletheia House which runs a substance treatment program specializing in the treatment of pregnant women; afterwards Brown will be supervised by Etowah County Community Corrections.
