The Weiss Lake Improvement Association 2015 Crappie Rodeo kicks off on Sunday (February 15th), with the biggest payout in cash and prizes in the history of the event up for grabs this year.

That’s Bob Pickerel with the Weiss Lake Improvement Association. He, and the Association Director, Carolyn Landrem – recently stopped by during the WEIS Radio Morning Show to help promote the event, providing some effective bait for anxious anglers to test their skill and luck (but mostly skill) during one of the state’s most high-profile fishing tournaments.

This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Weiss Lake Improvement Association, and it provides invaluable assistance in helping them to do what is an huge benefit to everyone; namely keeping the lake clean.

Landrem added that this annual tournament dates all the way back to the very beginning of the Weiss Lake Improvement Association and has proven to be an extremely popular event with anglers from across the country flocking to the area to take part each year.
