A Cherokee County teenager was hurt in a two-vehicle accident taking place at around 7:15 Wednesday morning on County Road 41.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, that mishap involved a 2013 Ford driven by 49 year old Gerald Highfield of Centre, and a 2000 Honda being driven by 16 year old Lan Wood of Cedar Bluff.
That wreck took place near the intersection with 114.
No additional information regarding the extent of Wood’s injuries was noted in the report – it was noted that Wood was wearing his seatbelt at the time the accident occurred.
Highfield escaped injury.
That accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
