A DeKalb County woman was fatally injured in an accident involving a lot truck just outside of Rainsville late Wednesday afternoon.

According to an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report a total of three vehicles were actually involved in the wreck: a 2012 Toyota driven by 65 year old Ft Payne resident Judy Lingerfelt; a 1995 Freightliner driven by 75 year old Sherman McAdams from Bowden Georgia; and a 1996 Chevrolet being driven by 19 year old Adam Jackson of Ft Payne.

Lingerfelt was fatally injured in the crash; McAdams and Jackson were unhurt.

The wreck, taking place on Highway 35 at 5:52pm remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
