MRS. SHIRLEY GOSSETT BURNS age 79 of Centre passed away Monday Feb. 2 at Cherokee Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday February 5th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Melvyn Salter and Lynn Hillhouse officiating, burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Garden. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 1 PM Thursday.
Pallbearers include Glenn Hillhouse, Clarence Lowe, Terry Stowe, Kenny Gossett, David Walley and Roger Gossett.
Survivors include daughter, Cathy Higgins (Phil) Jordan.
Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Burns: brother, Bennie Gossett: sister, Lynne Gossett Morgan.
Mrs. Burns was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Arthur Edwin and Sara Vastell McHugh Gossett. She was of the Methodist faith.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Children Advocacy Center of Cherokee County or The Nettie King Brown Clearinghouse.
