A single-vehicle accident occurring Sunday morning in Calhoun County claimed the life of a 27 year old Alexandria man.

According to the Jacksonville Post of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency – Casey Jordan Doss was fatally injured when a 2006 Ford Mustang he was driving left the roadway on the Alexandria/Wellington Highway, and overturned.

Doss, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time – was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

That accident, which took place approximately three miles north of Alexandria at 6:20am – remains under investigation.
