The Gadsden State Community College Cardinals will celebrate Homecoming 2015 on Monday, January 26 at Beck Field House with the recognition of campus favorites, escorts, and homecoming queen.
The men’s and women’s basketball teams will compete against conference rival Snead State. The Lady Cardinals finished last season with a 28-6 record making it to the conference title game.
Cardinal guard Lacey Buchanon was named NJCAA All-American, ACCC Region XXII and North Division Player of the Year.
The women’s game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. with the men’s game following. Other activities for the evening will include a half court free throw contest with a cash prize and entertainment by the Southern Belle Dancers.
The Homecoming Court will be presided over by Miss Gadsden State, Savannah Wash. She and Interim President, Dr. Martha Lavender, will crown the Homecoming Queen and give special recognition to the “Campus Favorite” couples who represent the campuses of Gadsden State.
