Leesburg Police Arrest Two on Drug Charges Sunday

Fyffe PairThe Leesburg Police Department arrested two DeKalb County men on drug charges Sunday

According to Leesburg Police Chief Lanny Ransum – 28 year old Jamie Ray Bates of Section, and Derrick Nash Farmer, age 18 of Fyffe were arrested on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Ransum said Officers Chris Vaughn and Joe Johnson recovered approximately 70 grams of synthetic marijuana in the bust and the investigation into the case is on-going.

Both men were booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center just before 7:30pm, and both remain in the detention center awaiting setting of bond.
