A number of Cherokee County Deputies as well as longtime Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver took the Oath of Office on Monday morning at the Cherokee County Courthouse in Centre.
Sheriff Shaver said it taking the Oath of Office was something that he and his officers certainly did not take for granted.
District Court Judge Wes Mobley administered the Oath to Sheriff Shaver and his deputies –
A number of elected officials in attendance for the ceremony including Revenue Commissioner Johnny Roberts, Cherokee County Commissioner Marcie Foster as well as DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris.
