The 9th Judicial Circuit of Cherokee and DeKalb Counties welcomed it newest member to the bench on Friday, newly elected District Court Judge Wes Mobley took the Oath of Office before a standing room only crowd in the Cherokee County Courtroom in Centre.
A large number of elected officials and members of law enforcement from across Cherokee and DeKalb County were present for the Investiture Ceremony.

Among those was District Attorney Mike O’Dell who serves the 9th Judicial Circuit covering both counties – O’Dell offered his remarks on Judge Mobley.

Following remarks from Centre Attorney Al Shumaker, Mobley took his Oath of Office administered by the Honorable Judge Randall Cole, Presiding Judge of the 9th Judicial Circuit.

Judge Mobley offered his thanks and appreciation to all those in attendance and to the people of Cherokee County for their support and confidence and vowed to faithfully serve the people of the 9th Judicial Circuit.
