It was a very brief meeting of the Cherokee County Board of Education on Tuesday.
The Board adopted its agenda, approved the bills for payment and approved minutes from the previous meetings.
In personnel action taken by the Board – Resignation was accepted from Anna Acker Reynolds, Speech Language Pathologist effective February 1st.
Classified Placements included – Ruby Gail Dean, Bus Driver at Gaylesville, Lori Koonce, Part Time Instructional Paraprofessional at Gaylesville, Kenny Beck, In School Suspension Paraprofessional at Sand Rock and Christa McDaniel, School Bookkeeper at Sand Rock all effective as of Tuesday.
Contract changes included, Christy Johnson, Special Education Paraprofessional from 8 hours per day with bus duties to 7.5 hours per day with bus duties effective as of Tuesday.
The Board also reviewed the job postings and held two student disciplinary hearings – the next meeting of the Cherokee County Board of Education is set for January 20th at 6:00pm at the Central Office in Centre.
