Floyd County authorities are currently investigating two robberies taking place during the early morning hours of Tuesday.

Both reportedly occurred just prior to daybreak, with the first being at the Shorter Avenue Waffle House and the second at the Kangaroo convenience store on Maple Street.

The suspects are described as three black males, two of which were armed with handguns.

Early indications are that no one was injured in either hold-up.
