We received a report of three individuals robbing the Mapco station in Collinsville just after 4:00 this morning; a short time later, a second robbery was reported at a hotel in Gadsden – also along the interstate.

Etowah County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were attempting to make a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of the one seen at each crime scene, when the pursuit began. The suspects led deputies into Jefferson County near the Southern Flight Museum.

At this time, two people are in custody with another still being sought.
