A Cedar Bluff woman was injured on Wednesday after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of Ingles in Centre.
The victim was apparently pushing her shopping cart when it was struck by an SUV knocking her to the ground – the victim, whose name has not been released at this time, was taken to Cherokee Medical Center for treatment but has since been transferred to UAB Hospital in Birmingham suffering from what has been reported as a possible brain bleed caused by swelling.
The incident occurred at around 12:00 noon Wednesday.
