Mr. Charlie Carl McGatha, 89 of Centre, passed away Monday, December 9, 2014 in Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden.

Funeral services will be held 3 P.M. Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shane Swafford officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 P.M. Friday.

Survivors include 2 sons, Terry (Brenda) McGatha and Timmy McGatha of Centre; grandchildren, Candace Flynt, Chris McGatha and Timothy McGatha of Centre, Erica McGatha of Rome, GA, Preston McGatha of Summerville, GA and Brittany Viena of SC; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Erma McGatha; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. McGatha was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Lum and Luler Pollard McGatha, was retired from the State Highway Department and was a member of the Union Congregational Methodist Church.
