The FBI has now joined the investigation into a former DeKalb County jailer accused of try-ing to extort money from an inmate.
Former County Corrections Supervisor Brian Crowe was charged with Extortion 1st Degree and Promoting Prison Contraband 3rd Degree; he was later released on $5,000 bond.
FBI Agents will present their findings to the U.S. Attorney for possible federal charges.
