Rome firefighters responded to a report of a fire on Krannert Drive off of Alabama Highway shortly after 1:00pm Monday.
The 40 x 60 shop building was about 70% involved when firefighters arrived on the scene, according to Battalion Chief Clete Bonney.
There were tools, electrical equipment and various other items in the building.
The cause has yet to be determined.
There were no injuries.
