There’s some good economic news for northeast Alabama – with International Automotive Components expanding its Anniston manufacturing plant; a move that will reportedly add a total of about 350 workers over the next two years.
IAC produces molded plastic instrument panels, door panels, flooring, and interior trim for several companies including Nissan, Honda, Hyundai/Kia and Mercedes.
Company officials say that the expansion will allow them to add new employees – and take on new technology which will enable them to thrive in the industry.
The Anniston City Council has approved a tax abatement for the $22 million expansion.
