The Leesburg Police Department has a busy weekend, making a number of arrests, ranging from drug charges to attempting to elude.

32 year old Gadsden resident Jeremy Brothers was arrested on charges of DUI, Attempting to Elude/Fleeing and Resisting Arrest;

Tyler Drake Hardin, age 18 of Sand Rock, was charged with Bail Jumping 2nd Degree;

A juvenile from Centre was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

20 year old Nicholas Paul Hoffman from Ft Payne, was arrested on charges of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Keelan Brock, 30 of Sand Rock, was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Leesburg Police Lanny Ransum would also like to commend Officers Joe Johnson and Chris Vaughn for their outstanding service – especially in the area of combating the drug problem in the community and helping to keep drugs off the street in the Leesburg area.
