According to a report by WAFF TV48, a former Boaz Police Dispatcher who had been found innocent after being accused of stealing a flashlight from a patrol officer will apparently not be re-instated.
The judge dismissed that charge against Douglas Tucker, after the officer involved testified at trial that he knew Tucker had the flashlight and just refused to return it.
However when it came to getting his job back, the judge ruled that Tucker had failed to first take his termination appeal to the City Personnel Board.
It’s unclear whether or not Tucker will continue to try and return to the department.
