Accused Killer Waives Right to Preliminary Hearing; Case to Go to Grand Jury

Arnold (Anniston) x2The Anniston man accused in the November beating death of another man – has waived his right to a preliminary hearing. 26 year old Russell Lowery Arnold faces a murder charge in connection with the November 7th death of 53 year old William Canada.

According to reports the motive for the killing remains unclear. Police officials have stated that the two men did know each other well. A Calhoun County grand jury must now decide whether or not to indict Arnold on the murder charge.

He remains in the Calhoun County Jail with bond set at $75,000.
