Funny money has returned to Rome where two individuals allegedly attempted to pass the bogus bills at two different fast-food restaurants during the early morning hours of Sunday.
According to reports a man and woman paid for a meal at the Shorter Avenue Waffle House using a fake $20 bill around 1:00am; and just after 2:30am police were called to the Krystal on Shorter Avenue, where the couple attempted to pay for a milkshake using a phony $100 dollar bill.
Several eyewitnesses said they had seen the couple before – and gave the officers potential names for the suspects.
The investigation into the matter is on-going.
