A man who attempted to elude Georgia State Troopers, is now residing in the Floyd County Jail.

24 year old Brandon Lee Salas of Canton tried to outrun Troopers on his motorcycle, and in doing so, reportedly reached a top speed of 153 mph.

The chase – which actually occurred back in October – ran across Floyd County into Bartow County through Adairsville and then onto I-75; Salas then exited on Georgia 20 – eventually laying the bike down.
He was originally jailed in Bartow County but is now back in Floyd County – where he faces charges of Fleeing/Attempting to Elude, Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road, a Failure to Obey Traffic Control Devices, Passing in a No Passing Zone, Speeding and Reckless Driving.
