Halloween/Fall Festivities

Thursday, October 30th

The annual Leesburg “Trunk or Treat” event will be held at Leesburg Landing, starting at 5:00pm. The event will feature inflatables for the kids, a hayride, and more. The Leesburg Fire Department will also be on hand selling hot dogs. For additional information, contact the Town Hall at 256-526-8890.

Friday, October 31st

The Full Gospel Church on Sherry Drive in Centre will have a Fall Festival starting at 5:00pm, featuring hayrides, games for all ages, and more.

The Grace Pointe Church of God will be hosting a Block Party from 5:00 to 7:00pm in the K-Mart parking lot. That event will include trunk or treat, games, inflatables for the kids, and more.

The 9th Annual “Trunk or Treat in the Park” event, which is sponsored by the Cedar Bluff Police Department, will take place from 5:00 to 9:00pm. For more information, contact Cedar Bluff Police Chief Steve Walden at 256-523-2549.

Pine Grove Baptist Church will have a “Trunk or Treat” event from 5:30 to 7:00pm in the gym.

The “Trunk or Treat” event in the Town of Sand Rock will take place from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Candy givers will need to be set up in the parking lot by 5:15pm.

Slackland Baptist Church welcomes “Trick or Treaters” and families to their “Trunk or Treat” event with soup and chili starting at 5:30pm.

Saturday, November 1st

The McCord’s Fire Department will host a Fall Festival & Candidate Rally. The Fall Festival begins at 2:00pm with the Candidate Rally set for 5:00pm. The fire hall is located at 6600 County Road 16 in Centre. For more information, call 256-475-3402.

The Save Our Afterschool Program Fall Festival at Cedar Bluff School is set for 4:00 to 8:00pm. The event will feature inflatables for the kids, a cake walk, face painting, and more. All proceeds will go toward funding the afterschool program, which recently lost its grant funding. For additional information, call 256-779-6211.

The Kirk’s Grove Homemakers Club will have its annual Harvest Festival starting at 6:00pm at the clubhouse on County Road 22. The auction will begin at 6:30. All proceeds from that event will go to the Homemakers Club. To find out more, call 256-475-3385.
