Emergency crews responded to three separate accidents in Centre on Friday – the first occurred just before noon when a Dodge Van left the roadway near the intersection of Main St. and South Pratt St. and ran through several trees before coming to rest near St Mary’s Church.
The driver was uninjured.
Just before 2:00 an 18 wheeler and a Chevrolet pickup truck collided at the intersection of Highway 411 and the Chestnut Bypass – the Chevrolet truck sustained significant damage however neither driver was injured.
Then just before 3:30 emergency crews were once again dispatched to yet another two vehicle accident –this time in front of OK Tire Store on the Chestnut Bypass involving a Chevy Cavalier and a Buick La Sabre – no one was injured in that mishap.
Centre Police and Firefighters along with Cherokee EMS responded to the scene of the accidents with the assistance of the Alabama Marine Police.
