Details have now been released regarding a prostitution sting being conducted last week in Oxford.
That operation resulted in a total of 14 people being arrested including ten women from Calhoun, Chilton, Clay and Etowah counties – all of whom face misdemeanor charges for prostitution – they include – Christina Barksdale, Michelle Cook, Alexandria Frazier, Whitney Gray, Sabrina Grizzard, Julia Holcomb, Shaniqua Jones, Michelle Partner, August Shell and Sandy Shiflett.
Four Calhoun County men were charged with Promoting Prostitution – Alonzo Lloyd, Tellis Russell, Robert Russell and Anthony Russell.
Investigators say the women had profiles on a website used to arrange meetings for sexual favors.
The investigation into the matter is on-going.
