“Funny Money” has once again made its way back to Cherokee County.

On Monday evening WEIS Radio News spoke to employees with the Dollar General Store in Cedar Bluff who alertly found that a twenty dollar that had been passed at the store was possibly counterfeit.

Store Personnel contacted Cedar Bluff Police and the bill was turned over to Officer Mike Howard – We spoke to Officer Howard who confirmed that the money was indeed counterfeit.

Area business owners are advised to be on the lookout for counterfeit money – Counterfeiting can be a difficult crime to stop because the people passing the notes are rarely the people producing them.
