Floyd County Police Investigating Two Seperate Burglaries

Floyd County police are investigating two separate burglaries that occurred Tuesday, both around 2 pm.

According to reports, the first burglary took place at a Rome residence on Paris Drive. A burglar supposedly removed a safe from the victim’s closet and two rings from a jewelry box in her bedroom. Police say a bathroom window was forced out of its frame and scuff marks were visible on the wall.

The other burglary allegedly took place at a Lindale residence off Miller Mountain Road. Reports indicate an intruder took three diamond rings, two gold necklaces, and two firearms. Police say it appeared the burglar only took select items.
