Reynolds, who is currently serving a 20 year sentence in connection with the 2004 death of her husband, had petitioned the court to have her sentenced modified, so that her children could visit her in prison. Judge Durham ruled that the oldest child can visit because she is now over 18 and considered an adult.

The rule does not apply to her other three children, who are still minors.

Reynolds’ co-defendant Scotty Harper is currently serving a sentence of life without parole for murder in the stabbing death of Thad Reynolds.
