A 22 year old Floyd County man accused of murder, is now facing additional charges – after allegedly assaulting two law enforcement officials Tuesday night. Deputies – in a jail report said Randy Clowers, Jr. physically assaulted two officers by swinging his fists.
Those actions resulted in his being charged with Assaulting Officers in a Penal Institution – and Obstruction.
Clowers was indicted by a Floyd County Grand Jury on Murder charges in connection with a fatal shooting at the Chevy Club earlier in the year (2014).
26 year old Justin Jamil Foster was killed and three others injured during the incident – and authorities say the shooting may have been gang-related.
