Cherokee County authorities arrested two individuals on drug and weapons charges Tuesday.
According to information on the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office website 22 year old Gadsden resident Christopher Monroe Coates was charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Concealed Weapon.
Tyrone Randolph, age 48 of Centre, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and with Unlawful Possession of a Pistol.
Coates was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center just after 11:30pm with bond yet to be set and Randolph was booked in shortly after 1:00am with bond being set at $7,500.
Both remain lodged in the Detention Center.
