Ex-Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputy Charged with Aggravated Stalking Now Out on Bond

Jerry DukeA former Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputy, jailed since May 23rd for violating a temporary protective order, has been granted bond.

Floyd Superior Court Judge Jack Niedrach set bond at 10-thousand dollars for Jerry Duke Thursday morning.

The TPO was filed May 1st by the mother of a 17-year old girl that Duke was dating.

Duke was arrested and charged with aggravated stalking on May 23rd after he allegedly violated that order.

District Attorney Leigh Patterson said the case is going to the Grand Jury on Friday.

As part of the bond, Duke was ordered to have no violent or harassing contact with the now 18-year old girl.

Duke’s Attorney Chris Twyman, said during the court proceedings that the girl has moved in to Duke’s home
