Father and Son Arrested in Connection with Shooting Incident

An Anniston area shooting incident occurring over the weekend – has landed a father and son in jail.

A news release from Anniston Police Captain Allen George said officers responded to an assault in progress call in the 900 block of West 49 Street around 9:00am Sunday.

Police arrived to find two men wounded at the location; one of the wounded men identified as 37 year old Jason Johnston, lived at the address; he was air-lifted to UAB for treatment.

Frazier 2The second individual, 38 year old Jason Wade Frazier, also of Anniston, was transported to the Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center for the treatment of non-life threatening wounds – he was later arrested in connection with the shooting of Johnston, and was charged with Assault 2nd Degree.

Frazier 1Frazier’s father, 65 year old Claud Frazier, who was sitting in a parked car in front of the home – was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder. According to the Anniston Star Claud Frazier accidentally wounded his son while trying to shoot Johnston.

It remains unclear what the dispute centered around – the investigation into the matter continues
