Centre residents experienced a brief power outage Monday morning; that due to a problem at the East Centre Substation shortly after 6:00. Sarah Bright with Cherokee Electric Co-op has informed WEIS Radio News that a tree had fallen across a power line causing a fuse to blow at the substation, affecting the majority of Centre.
The damage was repaired in under an hour with service being restored by 6:50am.
