Rome/Floyd County firefighters were dispatched to the scene of a structure fire shortly after 4:00 Thursday morning.

Battalion Chief Brad Roberson said the structure was fully involved with flames shooting through the roof when firefighters arrived on the scene. He says they were able to get a knockdown on that fire in about 30 minutes.
Since the house was unoccupied an investigator was called to the scene.
