Mr. Alton Paul Brown, Sr., age 66, passed away Friday, July 4th, at his residence.

A memorial service for Mr. Brown will be held at a later date.

Mr. Brown is survived by his sons, Paul (Kathy Lehman) Brown Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Brian A. Brown of Virginia Beach, VA; step-son, Shawn Martin of Dayton, TN; daughters, Katherine (Michael) Edwards SR. of Virginia Beach, VA and Dallas Brown of Knoxville, TN; sister, Alicia (Frank) Ward of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Michael Edwards JR., Matthew Edwards, and Kayla Edwards all of Virginia Beach, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Brown was a native of Newport News, VA and the son of the late Paul and Eloise Miller Brown.

Mr. Brown was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having the distinguished honor of being a Purple Heart recipient, and was retired from C.S X. Railroad. He was a member of Centre First Baptist Church and Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Centre First Baptist Church.
