Probate Judge Kirk Day Discusses the July 15th Election / Education Tax Issue

IMG_2470Cherokee County Probate Judge and County Commission Chairman Kirk Day, paid a visit to the WEIS Radio studios Tuesday morning (July 8th) to discuss the upcoming run-off election taking place Tuesday, July 15th.

The primary topic of interest for the voters in Cherokee County will be the one-cent sales tax OR “Education Tax” which is up for renewal locally.

The issue has been a source of often heated debate over the past several months especially.

Superintendent Mitchell Guice had proposed that the tax be instituted in perpetuity however as it appears on the ballot, the renewal, if voted in, would be for a period of two years.

No matter what your opinion is you’re encouraged to get out and make a difference by voting on July 15th.
