A motorcyclist appeared to escape serious injury in a crash Sunday afternoon on the Alabama Highway.
According to Floyd County Police a Ford Mustang and the motorcycle were turning onto Alabama Highway from the Holland Road headed toward Rome when the motorcycle rear ended the Mustang.
The motorcyclist sustained road rash but otherwise seemed okay. He was transported to the hospital by Floyd EMS. Both lanes of Alabama Highway going toward Rome were shut down for about 30 minutes following the crash.
