A 34 year old Gadsden man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a juvenile.
According to Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin James Franklin Woods stands accused in an incident on June 16th, of holding a 16 year old male at gunpoint and forcing him to get out of his girlfriends car and into Woods’ car near the intersection of Pulltight Road and Highway 411.
The victim was reportedly driven to Woods home in the Coates Bend community, where he was assaulted by the suspect; Woods told police the juvenile had broken into his home.
Woods was placed under arrest and was charged with one count of Kidnapping 2nd Degree, one count of Assault 3rd Degree and one count of Menacing.
He is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on bond of $51,500.
