A DeKalb County man has been arraigned on a charge of murder in connection with the death of his landlord back in January of this year (2014).
On Tuesday of this week (June 3rd) Christopher Todd Landers entered a plea of Not Guilty and Not Guilty by Reason of Mental Disease or Defect.
Landers, age 35, stands charged with shooting and killing 65 year old Michael Jenkins – during a dispute at the home rented by Landers from Jenkins in the Mt. Vernon community.
Following his arrest, Landers was transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center – and held on bond of $100,000.
A trial date has yet-to-be set.
