The Centre Police Department and Reserves recently conducted a “Driver’s License Checkpoint Initiative” in numerous locations across the city.
During their Memorial Day Traffic Blitz a total of 132 traffic citations and warnings were issued to motorists with 21 arrests being made, including seven drug arrests.
The most recent operation was merely one in an on-going series of initiatives designed to reduce impaired and/or unsafe driving in the City of Centre according to Police Chief Kirk Blankenship
