A gigantic Memorial Day Celebration will take place this Saturday (May 24th) in the McCord’s Crossroads community.

That event kick-offs at 10:00 that morning with a parade starting from the McCord’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department Station #1 – near the intersection of Cherokee County Roads 157 and 16.

There will be a salute to living and deceased veterans – and current military members and their families; there will be activities for all ages throughout the day, including a BBQ and inflatables for the kids – there will also be live music and a number of special guest speakers.

Saturday’s event is being organized by the McCord’s Crossroads Homemakers & Community Leaders Club and Keith Baldwin with American Auctioneers.
