Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver has released the name of the inmate found dead on Monday (May 12th, 2014).
38 year old Brian Lee Hartline of Sand Rock was in a holding cell at the Detention Center at the time of his death.
Hartline had been booked in approximately three hours earlier on a charge of Public Intoxication.
The death is being investigated by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation, at the request of Sheriff Shaver – no additional information is being released at this time.
