“Bad Check” Investigation Continues in DeKalb, Jackson and Marshall Counties

An investigation into forged checks being disbursed to local businesses has been launched by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris said that the bogus items are written on Wachovia Bank checks in the form of payroll checks from various businesses and schools throughout DeKalb, Jackson and Marshall counties.

The checks are all counterfeit and have been made out to different individuals.
