Saturday, May 17th is the date for a huge event honoring all current military personnel, veterans’ and their family members.

American Legion Vice-Commander for the state of Alabama, David Hartline – is organizing that celebration

Finishing touches are being put on the gathering and some assistance is still needed

Mr. Hartline will be appearing on the WEIS Radio morning show with Jerry Baker next Tuesday (May 13th) at 7:15 to update everyone on how things are coming together.

Additionally – a 14.7 mile section of Highway 273 in Cherokee County will be designated as the David L. Hartline Highway with a ceremony to be held sometime in June. Those expected to be in attendance include Senators Gerald Dial and Phil Williams along with Representative Richard Lindsey among others.
