DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris says alcohol was involved in a dispute that led to one man being taken to the hospital over the weekend.
The Ft Payne Times-Journal reports that the incident occurred in Fyffe, at a residence on County Road 327 – where one man became involved in an altercation with another man’s wife Saturday night.
The two men then reportedly became involved in a fight and one of the two wound up with what deputies described as three “puncture wounds”.
The victim declined to press charges in the case – however – Sheriff Harris says an investigation into the matter will follow, should the man change his mind about pressing charges.
