A Piedmont man is will serve three life terms, without the possibility of parole, for two counts of Sodomy 1st Degree and one count of Rape 1st Degree – in connection with the sexual abuse of a four year old girl.

The Anniston Star reports that Calhoun County Circuit Judge Debra Jones has sentenced Raleigh Steven Rowan to an additional 99 years for kidnapping the girl, and 20 years for Sexual Abuse of a Child under the Age of 12.

Rowan admitted to sexual abusing the child and he told the court during his trial in March that he had abducted the victim from her Piedmont home on February 5th last year (2013).

Rowan’s defense attorney said he plans to file a motion for a new trial in the near future.
