A man was taken into custody on Friday on charges of making terroristic threats to Floyd Medical Center and Harbin Clinic.
According to arrest warrants at the Floyd County Jail, 59-year old Robert Gordon Kornick, of a County Road 600 address in Centre, threatened a doctor at Harbin Cardiology.
He also allegedly made a threat against Floyd Medical Center. The threats resulted in hightened security checks and increased police patrols at both facilities on Thursday.
The statement sent to Floyd Medical Center said “Remember Fort Hood,” according to the arrest warrant. The threat made against the Harbin physician also reportedly referenced Fort Hood.
Kornick was taken into custody without incident early Friday morning at the Alabama Belle Campground.
